Welcome to the Web Home of  Arkady Mitnik.

Former USSR, Israel, the Netherlands… My journey has taken me across borders and cultures, always with a camera in hand. For years, I balanced my career in electrical engineering with my passion for music photography. But eventually, I reached a turning point: I decided to fully embrace what I love most—observing life and nature through a lens.

I am often asked about the ptoto-gear behind my images. While a great photo begins with the photographer’s eye, the right equipment is a vital partner in that success. Some 45 years ago, thanks to my friend and mentor [Alec Beliavtsev z”l], I chose the Olympus brand. It was a choice I have never regretted.

Having served as an Olympus Ambassador in the field of music photography, I still find immense joy in the tactile soul of my analog cameras and the precision of my digital OM systems.

I speak English, Hebrew, Russian, Ukrainian, and Dutch.

My Scope

As a photographer,  I am specialized in Music- , Street- , Event- and Landscape photography. 

Furthermore, I really enjoy teaching and coaching less experienced photographers to develop their skills and show then methods of improving the quality  of their photos. 

I have developed several  workshops and courses including “Music Photography for advanced”, “Dark Room for beginners”, “Digital Photography for beginners”, but of course can design tailor-made trainings to meet needs of other photographers. 

The cost of my services depends on various factors, such as location and the nature of the event or activity. Below is a market-based estimate:

    • Hourly rate – € 85
    • Half-day photo reportage:  4 hours – € 420
    • Full-day photo reportage total 8 hours – € 775
    • Driving costs – € 0,38 per km.

Photos are provided via WeTransfer or on a USB stick.

Upon the client’s request, I can supply various lighting studio tools and equipment. Additional costs will be discussed and agreed upon before finalizing the assignment.
